What if God decided to come back down to earth again and walk around as "One of Us"; what if? Joan Osborne's song "One of Us" was one of the inspirations behind "One of Us/The Adventures of Al O'heem". The idea naturally evolved into a collection of wonderful stories that equally delight, provoke and engage the reader. God (Al O'heem) comes back this time as a big, muscular iron worker with a propensity for Harley Davidson motorcycles, pie (especially coconut cream), the open road and of course loving, teaching and bettering people along the way.
